Welcome to Arctic Chess 2008
Tromsø Sjakklubb invites you to play in the third Arctic Chess international tournament. It will be arranged on Scandic Tromsø in the period of 2nd to 10th of august. The prizes are high compared to many tournaments in the chess world and the total sum is about 11000 Euros.

2500, 1600, 1000, 750, 650, 550, 450, 350, 250, 150 (Euros)
Rating prizes:
Players with less than 2300 in ELO are put into three equal rating groups.
Three prizes in each group:
350, 250, 150 (Euros)
Best female: 500 Euros
Best Junior : 250 Euros
Juniors are born in 1988 or later.
One player can only win one prize.
System:
FIDE Swiss, 9 rounds.
